Presenting at the 2025 ANSA Conference
Introduction to NeuroMeditation:
A Brain-Based Approach to Meditation and Mental Health
This talk will explore how NeuroMeditation (NM) principles can be applied through neurofeedback to create targeted and effective meditation training. We will examine how different meditation styles map onto distinct brain networks and how protocols can be designed to train those networks in practical, accessible ways.
Examples will include alpha down, eyes-open training as a focus meditation—a simple one-channel protocol that can be set up in virtually any platform. We’ll also highlight how the NeuroMeditation Styles Inventory can help identify client needs, making it possible to select and tailor training approaches for individuals.
In addition, we will discuss how this individualized framework can be applied to support a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and attention difficulties. Systems such as Divergence Neuro will be presented as user-friendly, low-cost tools that make NM strategies widely accessible in both clinical and wellness contexts. Participants will leave with clear, practical strategies for integrating NM-informed neurofeedback to support meditation, mental health, and personal growth.
