About
Alex Ryan holds a PhD in psychology, awarded in 2000, for researching competitive aggression in adolescent males. He is published in eight peer-reviewed journals for drug and public health research, and has enjoyed a 25-year career as a practicing psychologist. Alex has practiced neurofeedback since early 2017. He runs a clinic which offers neurofeedback to autistic populations. He is a BCN and QEEG Diplomate - Licenced. He is also a Level 3 certified TEAM-CBT advanced practitioner. He has published two papers, including a literature review, assessing the efficacy of neurofeedback with autistic populations. In his spare time, Alex enjoys taking to the walking trails in the Adelaide Hills and listening to audiophile vinyl records.

How to maximise client outcomes when delivering Neurofeedback
This masterclass will be evidence and practitioner informed, and will aim to deliver strategies and tactics to maximise client outcomes when delivering neurofeedback (using the specific application EEGer). The focus of this presentation will be on: how much to reward and when; managing thresholds; symptom monitoring and reward adjustments; and protocol adjustments using objective measures e.g. HRV.
