This is the third meeting. We had a really good time learning together at the first meeting and hopefully our learning culture will continue to grow. I feel it is important that we model this group as a peer event where we all contribute and help each other learn. No one is without opinion or passion, but the energy should stay focussed on mutual support. We are indeed in a Renaissance and so why should we not enjoy it?
Please feel free to offer any items or issues for discussion. The agenda is fluid and it is best if we all take turns at the helm. If you would like to email me with a confirmation of your attendance and anything you want to see on the program, that would be good. I'll do my best to work things in. I think it will many meetings before we get short on topics! And please keep the 'dumb questions' flowing for we need the 'humility' of as well as the 'happiness of understanding'.
EEG Software
In order to sync us all up for the qEEg review with Jay it might be good to have WinEEG on you computer. So please download it from the following link:Links: http://www.elsevierdirect.com/companion.jsp?ISBN=9780123745125
Below you will find a link to an educational version of WinEEg and a link to a cool tutorial video. Just download the EdEEG file it and install.
Place the files we are going to review on your desktop or somewhere you can find them.
Now open EdEEG
Select File and drop to Open File.
Find the file and select it.
Go to Setup and drop to Mapping Style. For this exercise I suggest you choose Sokolov and OK.
Now go to the little symbol on the line below File, Edit etc. It a box with the x thru it and an down arrow. Hit that and select: Database version 2 (AvW). That's a Lapacian montage, good for lots of stuff.
Now you are ready to play with us.
On the Mitsar site there is a tutorial video under the support tab. If you can watch that a few times you'l know as much as anyone else!
When I selected the files we will review I will post them to you in series of emails. Hopefully we will be able to stay on the same page during the Jay hour.
Contact me if you have any problems, OK?
